Hey guys,

my girl just picked up a new Mazda3 and I want to get the front bumper and hood covered in a decent invisible bra, like the 3M stuff.

However I am getting quotes over $500, which is rediculous. I have called Shadow Tint and they were nearly $600.

Any suggestions on less costly alternatives?

No. Get it done by pros or it will look like crap. You just bought a new car, don't skimp on paint protection.

Nuno at Shadow tint is the western canadian install PRO for 3M.

$600 sounds pretty decent to me if you're going to get your front bumper done as well. I'd rather pay more and get it done correctly then cheap out.

This topic has been covered a million times. Try doing a search.

Damien @ Icon Window Tinting FTW!

I had my mirrors, bumper, hood, and fenders done for $400 at the time of purchase.

Yeah it's Shadow or Icon in Calgary. Other places may use inferior older product that may yellow/fog or bubble.

I had mine done at Platinum Auto Detailing.

It was a pretty decent job, 3 really really small bubbles, and light straight line scratches (will easily polish out). I think that the scratches were from the squeegee that they use, but I wasn't super happy with the 3 small bubbles. They are probably about the diameter of a pin head. I am super picky, but I was marginally satisfied.

I think mine came to $380, with front bumper, hood, lights and mirrors.
