Brutal. I met the owner and checked out the store in the summer. What a loss.

1410 is not attached to McDonalds. it goes 1410, McDonalds entrance, McDonalds, attached to 17th Ave Lounge (small hole in the wall), attached to Phyne Fashions, attached to Westside Mountain Shop, which is then the NE corner of 17th Ave and 14th St.

Going west on 17th ave, it is the last 4 businesses on your right hand side approaching the corner of 14th St.

Squeegee corner.

at 6:30 am this morning, just the investigators and one CPS cruiser securing the scene.

Drove by and was sad to see the building was torn down. It couldn't withstand a fire but sure survived a street car.

Sad to hear, take a look at the glenbow museum archives website. There are some great photos in there, even some shots of Chinook and Southcentre when it was first built. Also Stephens Ave. back in 1920 or so, interesting stuff.

weird I just got back from Toronto and witnessed a huge city block, in a very historic part of downtown, burn to the ground.

then I look out my window the other night and the sky is on fire.
