My gf and I used to go this place on 28St SE called Ha Tien (see map link here (http://maps.google.com/maps?rls=com.microsoft:*&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&um=1&q=ha+tien&near=Calgary,+AB,+Canada&fb=1&view=text&latlng=51048147,-113990005,12362894977271095341)) every once in a while. They used to have this all-you-can-eat feature where they bring you a grill for you to cook your own beef or seafood and make your own rolls with rice paper sheets.

But this past weekend we discovered that they've closed down and that the new tenants of the space will be New Dynasty Chinese restaurant. Does anyone know what happened to Ha Tien?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for other restaurants that offer the same sort of thing? We miss the beef

There was a restaurant in the south somewhere (industrialish area?). It wasn't a restaurant where you sat down with a menu. You got a card and you then could walk from counter to counter and pick what you wanted to eat, with each item then being added to your card. And I don't mean like a buffet, each counter would have a chef behind it preparing the meal you wanted. There was a salad counter, pasta, asian cuisine, etc. And then when you were done eating you would submit your card and pay. It looked kinda like a sunterra market. Does anyone know the name of the place?

Damn. I went there in the summer and they were closed due to renovations. I was looking forward to going back there.
