Shipping amounts

I know I've shipped express before to avoid paying duty/brokerages, but when you order something is it based solely on size/weight of the package, or does the cost of the item come into play on the base shipping price as well..

Example would a 3000$ package that is the same size and weight of a 200$ item be the same cost? (only insurance costs may be more?)

I'm trying to figure the best choice for something, normally on packages <1000$ I claim them really low and have never had an issue, but this ones going to be different and don't want to have any trouble.. :dunno:

you can try stating the contents of the package is "return from repairs". that usually clears the boarders with no brokerage fee.

Thing is it's 4 seperate items in the box.. And it will be the size of a suitcase or so...
