The engine was replaced because there was low oil pressure in the car. However, the oil level was fine and I had already done regular maintenance and an oil change 2 months prior to it happening. My mechanic suggested that I change the engine because he suspected there might have been further damage to the engine due to the low oil pressure than the original source.
