I'm an apprentice for a powerline contractor and i'm trying to write off a bunch of tools and work clothes that i need to do my job.
My question is when i'm claiming all my tools and clothes it totals to "x" amount but my company pays a 60 cent tool allowance which is paid out on every check and i get taxed on like regular income. now should i deduct that from my full amount i want to write off or how should i go about claiming this stuff?
