Im about to go change my rotors and pads, because my old ones are completely worn out. The question i got is, do you guys break in your pads and rotors after replacing them? or do u just do some normal diriving? I found a couple methods, but im getting mixed answers everywhere else.

heres what ive found

http://www.hawkperformance.com/performance/burnish.php

any ideas or input?

You'll get mixed answers any where you ask. It's the same debate with breaking in engines.

As far as the two links above, they're both pretty similar. Do a number of stops to heat up the bads and get them to bed-in properly. I've usually done the stoptech.com method with about 5-10 stops from 60mph.

I've found that it makes a difference with aftermarket performance brakes but not so much with OEM brakes. Be careful not to overdo it - it doesn't take much to get the brakes smoking.
