Nothing wrong with either computer. No monitors for either of them.

PC#1:

Dell Dimension 3000
- 2.4 ghz Celeron.
- 1gb ram
- 80 gb hard drive
- winxp
- audio, video and lan integrated

Lightly used as a backup server.
$60.00.

----------------------------------

PC#2:

Dell Dimension
- 3.1 Ghz Pentium4 Hyperthread
- 1.2 gb of ram
- 40 gb hard drive, an additional 20 gb installed, but i rarely used that hard drive, it doesn't boot up all the time, so it seems sketchy.
- Nvidia Geforce FX5200 video card (has both dvi and vga outputs)
- Integrated audio and lan.
- Windows vista home professional currently installed.

Can downgrade to windows xp if requested. The drivers for the video card are horrible which causes it to run quite slow on vista. It performs quite well on windows xp, could handle a few games.
$110.00

Will post pics once i get home.

Thanks

Probably more to do with the amount of ram you have in the machine, and the fact that it's not really a fast videocard to start with.

You're right...although the video card did quite well under xp...it's still got 128 MB. Much better than anything onboard.

Another gig of ram and Vista should run just fine. Nothing wrong with the card or the nVidia drivers, it's just not that fast (better than onboard, but no speed demon no matter how you cut it). But you could put the fastest card in there and it would run like shit with only a gig of ram too. Nice machine for a decent price. Wouldn't cost much to make it go fast either.
