Any clue on rates?

What can they find out about someone?

I want to know where someone works to serve them with some papers.

Don't you have to get them to sign, before you can serve them the papers?

Can anyone do this private investigating?

If so, gimme a sixpack of pilsner and I'll find out whatever the hell you want, right down to what her underwear tastes like. haha.

let me know if you need back up.

I have had alot of fun doing this in the past for buddies that were taking people to small claims court, and my brother who was trying to serve his ex for a custody battle.

I love doing this stuff.

few yrs ago I had a party in calgary and a couple younger guys showed up with another guy I knew, they were PI's. I talked to them a bit about it, seemed half assed at best what they did, but they said they made good money. They were early 20's at that time.

Last year I buy a Blackberry 8800 and bring it to Calgary Cell Unlockers, long story short they take the phone, ignore my calls, basically refusing to give it back and I have no way to track them down. I posted on beyond and within hours I had a home address, home phone number and the gentleman's full name.

Trust me, beyond CSI works.

Anyone can serve someone with papers. no signing required. Walk up and say "John, doe? you've been served and hand him papers". They then sign an affidavit at the court house saying they served them. Expect that to cost $100 or more and for a PI to track them down minimum $60 an hour.

Why have you not given it up yet? You must not be too serious about finding this guy if you won't take free help.

I would suspect that 2Blue knows the law to some extent. Beyond is categorized under "fixed medium" thus opening himself up to libel issues for defamation of character. It's all over the internet how someone is suing someone else for defamation due to postings in forums.

Ive always wanted to do that!!!!! People always look so badass in the movies handing someone their court papers, I could wear a dark suit and walk up to him with a really stern look on my face and the guy would be like "oh shit im goin down"

googe

posting someones info online has nothing at all to do with defamation or libel.

That is correct. There was just a settlement made in ontario same sernario ...$130,000 is costly for putting someone's name on the internet.

All they do is message someone on the persons friend list and say that they are a long lost family member/friend. Voila all information :poosie:
