got a 03 civic w/5spd and 104k.
once in awhile the power steering will go away. there is no grinding or whining, it just goes away and comes back once in awhile. most likely the pump? i have checked the fluid and the level is fine and there is no metallic in it.
also today i noticed that if you are driving along and you get on and off the throttle the shifter moves back and forth. what could it be? i have only worked on RWD cars and it would be known as the transmission mount is shot.
