I heard before the statement he supposedly made, although I did not know it was supposed to be from the Oprah show. But I must admit - I believed it since it was backed up by someone else who also heard it.

Since then, I have not purchased a single product with his name on it. I will humbly admit that I fell into the rumor trap, and am glad to now open my wardrobe to his clothing - as his name brand has some pretty nice stuff.

The rumour's been floating around for over 10 years. Seriously, with all the crap you see online, don't you think footage of the actual event would've been shown over and over and over again within the last decade if it were true?

Same thing with the whole Lauren Hill thing.

I've been hearing that story for years and I've actually gotten into disputes with people over the credibility of it. To date, I haven't had a single person actually back it up with a credible source (obviously because it wasn't true) but unfortunately I also was unable to come up with a source to refute it; until now.

No doubt this rumor has been out for QUITE awhile. Hell it was around back when i was in jr high like 12-13 years ago, when wearing your pants halfway down your thigh was cool and showing your boxers... i had a pair of tommy hilfiger boxers and people called me racist.

I always responded with "If hes racist, why are there black people in his ads?"

Obviously when this rumor was started 10yrs ago (or whatever it was) Oprah's people knew about it.
