View Full Version : Installer.app for ipod touch

I would like to hack my ipod touch so I can add some 3rd party applications. I keep hearing this application that I must have called Installer.app in order for me to hack it. My question is, where and how do I get this Installer.app?

modmyifone.com is a great source♦

just make sure you are 1.1.1 then go to jailbreakme.com on safari. and there you go. if you have any other versions, you have to downgrade to 1.1.1


might be different now, so many advances have happened in the past couple months since i last jailbroke a touch.

you-tube is your friend, has absolutetely everything.

let me know how it goes because i am considering it, but i might just buy the upgrade.....or maybe the iPhone to complete the collection.

don't bother man, jailbreaking is so easy. especially on the touch since you don't have to work around the a t&t activation

ziphone is the latest method i think, it can be done with 1.1.3 or 4

easy as ever, if u can use itunes u can do it pretty fast.

^follow these instructions, ONLY need to go to step 2 unless u wanna upgrade to 1.1.3 (movable icons), takes about 4 min and pretty safe to do.

i currently have 1.1.3, which the latest verison... i heard i have to downgrade to 1.1.1 if i want to get the installer.app for 3rd party appds

1.1.4 is the latest, check my link there is a new method for the newer stuff and its really easy

just upgraded to 1.1.3 on the iphone, not bad but some apps dont work, most do though, however 1.1.4 is whack, most apps crash even with the patch, and i dont like ziphone, used to have problems with keyboard on the screen freezing, but theres a new version out, 2.6, pretty simple just restore to 1.1.4 and run ziphone one click and done!
