gah i hope this doesnt happen to u guys, but i was watching the local news turns out insurance is going up on basic cars like the regular 4 door civics and 4 door focus and other basic economy crap cars. all this is because of 2 fast 2 furious influencing kids to rice these cars out and race them and that means more deadly accidents. whats even dumber is that they r possibly changing rates for cars that are commonly modified (according to my insurance agent) i was trying to get quotes for a few cars cuz im car shopping. god this is so freaking gay, i hate that movie even more now....planning on a 240sx but now the prices is going higher cuz its a "popular tuner car" and its also a "sports car"

i hope u guys dont get this bs in canada:banghead: :guns:

Our insurance rates are B.S. I am going to be paying almost 3700 a year on my '89 accord 4dr come september. I have no tickets or anything, but I am 16 which influences it.

But then Scat, has an 85 300zx a "sports car" and is paying 2700 a year.

So i dunno?! :dunno:

Man You guys are so Stupid if you believe that shit , Insurance Rates are going up not because of the Movie and because cars are more Popular to tune and race then others but because the insurance companys took a beating after sept 11th and now they are trying to recoupe as much as possible by screwing you and me on insurance rates , The Rates are going up all over and has nothing to to with Car you drive Or Driving Records hell people in Canada have seen there Rates climb as high as 50% and they have cleand driving records
:dunno: :banghead:

I dunno about the price of your 89 Accord and 300ZX 1985, but here in Japan, an Accord like that worths like 500$ regardless it has mileage or not.

In the case of an 85 ZX (called Fairlady Z here) it would cost about 1000$.

So I'd consider getting a one side type insurance only if I were you.

Japanese tend to get rid of their car quickly here and the psychological mileage barrier is about 50,000km..after that the car is "old" in their mind...So I am having a field day here whenever I am looking for a "new" car.

For example, a 95-97 WRX STI or an EVO VII, yes the ones that deliver 35kg.m of torque, would be less than 15,000$.
