Didn't know where else to put this...

I'm trying to get a PDF copy of the EUB Oil and Gas Strike Map for Alberta.

They want 61 dollars to get it from the website. Just wondering if someone on here doesn't already have it who could help a guy out

I don't have licenses for Accumap or anything, just looking for the PDF or something similar. Or maybe you have some random map of O&G fields in AB, anything would help.

Thanks! :)

Map of oil and gas field boundaries as I understand it

EDIT:

Somebody at an O&G company has to have this baby...!

I just can't justify spending 61 dollars for a PDF file that is PUBLIC KNOWLKEDGE :nut:

Thats almost it. I just played around with that a bit but all I can do it look up specific leases or see the township system overlain on the BA map. Pretty cool tool. I will probably use that again in the future, thanks for the link :D

What I'm trying to do is find a map that outlines boundaries or areas of each oil and gas field. From what I understand thats a stirke map.

I worked with a geomagnetic surveyor from the gov't last year who had like an atlas of alberta's oil and gas industry, it was a pretty large book, and quite thick. He said it cost around 400$ (that he expensed, ha) it had every pipeline and gasplant..etc laid out.. It was amazing to see really, how every square inch of this province is covered..

IT doesn't necessarily outline pools. It assinges a strike name, to blocks of sections, for the purposes of naming wells. Usually the "strikes" are named for a nearby town. It's essentially a TWP/Range map with names on it.

I only have bits and pieces, not the whole map, and it's a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy, to infinty.

I have this in my office. Great maps, but does not include a strike map.

I have a map of where each plant is.

Like it will show the sector that Imperial Oil Cold Lake has, Firebag, etc?

Is that what you are looking for?

Exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not really concerned with the resource under the ground but with the boundaries or fields and naming conventions.

Would be super swell if someone had access to that PDF at the EUB :)

I do have it but it is too large of a file for port on this forum (5Mb). I could email it to you. Let me know.

Now if someone would have a similar map for Sask that would be great.

Thanks

I have one at work but it's got LSD numbers written everywhere from my previous strike mapping. But I can try and scan it if you want. It's big but I can try tomorrow morning if you like.

bump, now that ERCB is AER, where does one get a strike map?

gkAeris

found it.........

IL 2001-02: Field and Pool Orders and Gas Strike Areas is considered no longer necessary as current field and pool orders and gas strike areas are available on the AER website at www.aer.ca/data-and-publications/orders/aer-order-system.

Bookmarked. That's cool. Thanks.

Random: I like how AB coordinates are logical vs. BC's letter system. I still don't get it. :S

I worked with that BC system for a couple of years and I never really did understand it. With the Alberta system, as long as you are in Farm country, I can drive right to the location.
