moved into a new place not long ago and I'm just wondering how much gas do people use for a month...

I used 15.577 GJ.. for last month.. just gas bill was $140..

is that average for 1400 sqft house?

I have gas water tank and gas stove... and temp is set to around 22 most of the time..

I'm guessing you don't have kids. We have it at 22 as well because any lower the kids gets runny nose's, but it goes down to 18 when sleeping. Also from all the houses we've lived in, this house doesn't keep heat in that well. Pretty good for a 2 yr old house

We pay about the same, house is 1800sq ft, no gas stove though.

I have a 3 months old baby..

so I got to set the temp at 22....

I guess my gas bill is pretty normal...

Yeah, I notice that my house doesn't keep the heat inside the house for long time...

I even put plastic film one some windows..

and noticed the difference.. but still my bedroom is too cold...

one big master bedroom with one heating vent...

Thanks for the inputs..

15-17 on the coldest months, way less in the summer. I just reset my programmable thermostat so that it's 21 for when I'm home, then 16 the rest of the time. Those were the values recommended by EnergyStar.
