i'm not sure what's wrong, but i've narrowed it down to the amp, because i've tried different subwoofers and it does the same thing. basically it happened all of a sudden.

i was listening to music with my gains on the amp turned to about 3/4 of the way up. when all of a sudden all the sub does is go "whoooooooooooo", (sorta sounds like if you were running a high low converter and you had your gains turned up and you turn off your deck) like a really deep sound constantly drowning out all music. now unless if turn the gains to 0 the sub will do that. any idea what could be wrong?

Maybe you have the RCA's/speaker wiring polarity mixed-up:dunno:

hmm kinda sounds like interference.. make sure that your RCA are not near anything that carries a decent current as the magnetic feild it gives off with distort your RCA and sound like ass through the subs... definately sounds like interference!

sounda like it could be an rca problem, might be pickin up sub sonic frequencys in the rca's somewhere. try rerunning your rcas before u spend any money

does the tone of the sound change when you accelerate/rev the engine?

maybe the "source" of your amp is hooked up to a rear speaker?

and you're sub is very close to that speaker .

so the speaker is acting like a microphone .

and you're getting feedback through the amp .

try unplugging the speaker that you tapped into for the signal .

and see if u still get it .
