Just got my "cool" clip done... man, so fun when it rains. The LSD factor is gone. Track started drying out as the video progresses, so it gets a bit wacky when the tires grip.

Bald rears are damn fun in the rain. Had another 10 laps of this, but the videocamera didn't record... :banghead:

Kenny is the man, he did a great job filming.

Anyways here it is. Right click and save to hard drive before viewing. Requires Windows Media 9.

haha...no wonder Kenny was following you so close. Awesome drifting. The track was soooo wet so that was the perfect condition for you.

Cool man, was that with or without ESP? I found the SLK to be a tad tricky to countersteer out of a drift, I guess Im not used to drifting a heavy solid and wide car..nice work

Yea, the track was starting to get dry. The earlier pure rain sessions were way better, unfortunately, it wasn't filmed.

As for drifting SLK's in the dry, it's tricky cuz there's no limited slip. With any slip angle, it's enough to unweight the inside wheel and spin that, so you have no progressive throttle steer control. Maybe a super stiff suspension might help. It works OK in the wet because the g forces are so low, and the inside wheel's still planted.

Oh, and of course it was with ESP off!

That blue Prelude that was out there... what kind of turbo setup was he running? No I'm not talking about Kevin.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure he's stock, aside from the exhaust.

Oh, and of course it was with ESP off! heh yea actually drifting with the ae86 is pretty hard w/o an lsd too. i find the only way i can do it properly is just with pure speed and turning really hard. or waiting for snow :)

speaking of that, do u still have your slk-snow-drifting vid?
