Theres a place near Phils house called Platinum Auto? which does that kinda stuff. I think they charge around 300-500 dollars depending on the job and size of the car.
If you find a good deal dont forget to tell me! :D The shit on my car you've seen is caked on and wont come off from scrubbing.

Jed Bouscal with Mobile Reflections. He's done a couple of my cars and both fantastic jobs. Check his username here and also search my posts for one of the threads on a G35 that he did that was pretty trashed.

I just booked my exterior/interior detail with him.
It's 320 for the exterior and 200 for the interior.
IF you get both done at the same time, it's 420 (100 bucks off)

Wait....your red MR2 has a clear on it? Almost ever other solid colour Toyota of that era I have worked on has a single stage paint finish.
When do you need this done by?

Well instead of making a new thread for my own needs, I'll post here.
I just picked up a 2005 chev colorado and the paint is a little dull, so I wouldn't mind getting her waxed/polished (or whatever needs to be done for her to shine) anyone here (that won't ruin my paint :D) do this stuff on the weekends just for some extra cash?
because I'd rather not pay $500 for some detailing shop to do it, as I don't have THAT much money just floating around...
Anyways, if anyone does this sort of thing, shoot me a pm with maybe some kind of price and we can work something out!
Thanks
The thing with detailing a vehicle and the prizes out there is that you get what you pay for...sure just about anyone will do it for cheaper but like anything in life how much you spend = how good quality you receive back. But then again be cautious, just because the shop/person is expensive doesn’t mean they know what they are doing. Ask questions about the products they use, how long it takes them to do a detail (this will tell you allot about the shop/person) and most of all ask for references or other vehicles they have detailed.
It's always good to have a general knowledge, not to be an expert on auto detailing but know enough to question who ever you choose to get the job done by, last thing you want is to give your vehicle to a inexperienced detailer.
That's just my opinion though.

yes unfortunatly it was done over top of the faded paint... it is an aftermarket thing and whoever did it didnt do a very good job...

Sounds scary, If the faded paint is under the clear than there isn't a whole lot that can be done, unless you want to sad off all of the clear and buff it out underneath it all. Such a process is very difficult to do CORRECTLY. There are tons of places that will do it...but will they do a good job...maybe not. Personally I can say that I have never wet sanded the clear off a vehicle...usually this is a good thing. It sounds like a smaller job than it is, because to do such a job, one would have to sand, clean the area, compound a small section, check if it is glossy then repeat until it is glossy. Even with a DA sander, this might take 2 or 3 days! I would be interested in seeing the shape of this car, but right now it looks like I am pretty much booked until a week or two after DTP.
