DOMS probably happens the day after, possibly two days after activity? I know for me sometimes I am sore the day after. Sometimes doesn't start until 1.5 days but most of the time it's 1 day after workout. Soreness can be from 0 day, to 3.

I know sometimes my friends ask me if I am soreright after our workout. For sure i know I would not be the few hours immediately after WO. Is that even normal?

I get sore after i wake up the next day.

you only get sore
because you dont use your muscles regularly that way
so if you worked out reguarly
say like every 2 days
after about a week
you would stop getting sore

I sometimes get DOMS when I do DLs, Good Mornings, SLDL, GnH raise. Happens when I work on my posterior chain (back, glutes, hams), depending on how much weight I pull for the DLs my traps even get DOMS.

Don't think I have ever had it immediately PWO, always had to get 8-12 hours our before I could start feeling it.

Should be getting soreness after most if not all HARD gym sessions. Intensity must be high (Low reps, high weights).

I stumble on my soreness 1.5-2 days after and it sticks for 2-3 days. I'd consider myself above average genetics also.

Doing high intensity compound movements more than once a week can be extremely taxing on the CNS and can stall progress on other lifts.

This also depends how focused in the gym you are and how tuned your diet is.

If you are sore immediately after your workout it's usually Lactic acid build-up. DOMS usually take 24-48 hours to kick in and can last 24-48 hours. That's why it's a good idea to allow 48-72 hours for muscle recovery depending on the intensity of your workout.

My legs seem to hurt the most 2 days later. Everything else is sore the next morning.

Well I had a leg press competition with my friend yesterday and after working up to 675lbs my legs feel like they are on fire today lol. This was with stretching btw.

I've been taking Glutamine and BCAA (Xtend) and soreness is less frequent/dont last as long.

LOL, a couple months ago I went and worked out with a friend whose arms are twice the size of mine, intense workout. I couldn't straighten my arms for 5 days.

One thing I have issues with is tricep workouts. After a tricep workout they become useless for the day. Did triceps before playing slo pitch and I throw like a baby. The extension is messed up and throwing, shooting etc all becomes weak the hours after a hard tri workout. So now I know not to do tri's before playing sports.

Yeah agreed. I usually work out every 2-3 days (and stretch) and I rarely, if ever, get DOMS. I usually do high reps though (10-12), so darkane is probably right about the higher intensity workouts.

It's tight the next day but SORE the 2nd...it's normal.

If you aren't sore, you aren't lifting enough or doing enough reps. (if you are trying to increase, at least)

Usually when I work out I am sore the next morning or sometime mid-day depending on what time I wrked out the previous day.

One question: If say one day I did an intense back workout and then at the time the next day when I would usually be sore ... im not is it ok to work out that muscle group again? My thoughts were always that if your muscles dont hurt the next day then they probably didnt get torn much during the workout the previous day, making it ok to work them out again. Is this true?
