Vehicle Details
Year : 1990
Make and Model : Pontiac Trans am GTA
Exterior Color : Black
Interior Color : Black
Auto or Manual? : 5 Speed manual (T5)
Odometer Reading : 268k on the odometer, but 170k actual (documented)... gearing change led to innaccurate odometer reading. the factory 3:55 gears were replaced with the 2:90 gears for better fuel economy, now it gets 28 on the highway, as the engine turns at 2200 in fifth, while doing 120kph.
Location of Vehicle : Calgary
Description : There were 1444 GTA's produced that year, only 100 were 5L/305 5speed combos. Black on black. Great shape for the year. I lost interest in this as a project. Good daily driver. Fairly new, rebuilt transmission, which was $3k, only 10k on it since replacement.
-T-tops
-Newer B&M quickshifter, 2,000km's old.
-Black leather interior.
$300 grant steering wheel, replaced big bulky (1st ever year in prod.) air bag steering wheel.
GTA edition, which means WS6 suspension package is included, with rare honey-comb rims.
-Handles like its on rails, very fun to drive car.
However it could use an engine rebuild soon, as it burns oil. (5L TPI)
-Needs some TLC. Its not at all perfect, but in good shape for its age. Could use some body work, perhaps some new suspension bushings, as their quite old (all original)
All the lights function great.
Needs an A/C recharge.
car is in storage, I'll have it out quite soon.
-Never winter driven, no rust anywhere.

pics are very old (note the date) whole left side of car, being the front fender, door and rear quarter were replainted. Car is in great shape now. Those pics are without the car being waxed, so the paint looks awful. Actually the paint is quite good on the car. Very glossy and deep.
It really turns heads. Rare and very beautiful car. But I do not have the time or energy for any more projects. I was hoping to restore this car, due to its rariety, but I dont have the time or the place, or the money to do this. So I have to (reluctantly) sell it.
