So I am just getting ready to paint my 240sx and cant quite figure out what colour will look good with what...

I am keeping the stock midnight blue colour but am having trouble choosing the colour of wheels to go with the blue. Im tied up between 2 colours...Gold or white. But once i decide to go with the white or gold for the wheels..i will be painting the IC pipes, roll cage and the valve cover the same colour to match. I was thinking white would look pretty go although wheels and the IC piping would get filthy quite fast. Now the reason I dont want to go gold is that it might look tacky on the IC pipes and cage depending on the shade of gold it turns out as.

What do you guys think is the best route? I just want everything to flow and look good...any suggestions are welcome! even different colour choices are an option..just depends what! thanks !

I vote +1 for gold rims with a polished lip.

I don't recommend the white. Also do you have a pic of the rims?

That is my #1 choice to...BUT I dont think painting the cage, valve cover, and intercooler pipes gold will make it look good...Kinda think it will have a really tacky look...but maybe its just me?

Matching the rest of the stuff (like the pipes, cage, and valve cover) to your body paint would make more sense.

Blue would look retarded on wheels IMO. Wouldnt do that...

GOLD with a polished or chrome lip so nice!!!! dont color match the cage with the wheels not a good look. you could do a different shade of blue for the cage and other pieces to give a little contrast witout it being an eye sore. but it all depends on what look your going for, i like the clean look myself

Yea I was sort of thinking of doing this but the thing is the blue im using is already quite dark...and I deffinatley dont want to go with a lighter shade..so im not sure. I thought white wheels and everything else white to match would look kind of cool..but i really like the gold wheels.

Those red rims are super nice..but that would be way to expensive to have done for my budget..those rims alone are damn pricey.

What do you guys think of these Work wheels?

I was considering white and could be a good look I think....I also think the cage and valve cover would look good white...then i could just keep the IC pipes black? Or would white look good?

i don't think work meister's belong on a 240.. lol
but i do feel the white wheels for your car.. that'd look pretty dope, but it'd still get dirty quick... but still.. white would be nice!

Yea the car is staying blue...so dont post opinions on a car colour lol.

I like those gold wheels aswell but the white wheels are roughly the same price. Plus the work wheels are allot better quality and allot lighter...butt then again the gold wheels come in a better size then the works im looking at..

What do you guys think of a more bronze colour instead of gold? Something like this...

Rota Grids 16x8 +10MM offset

i think you should do the bronze... if you go white, the white would accent the blue and of course would look nice, but imo, white valve cover, ic piping, and roll cage would look suuuper tacky... thats just what i think. a bronze roll cage however would look nice, as well ic piping and your valve cover would look baller.. just my 2 cents, ps if you go with sportmax theres gonna be alot of us running that in the city:dunno:
