Looking for someone to convert my propane BBQ to natural gas. This BBQ was given to us as a wedding gift from a family member and we do not want to sell it and purchase a natural gas BBQ, which would be the easiest option, so, I am looking for someone who is able to convert our Broil King BBQ over. Willing to pay someone with expertise and experience in this as I did google some info on it, but my wife does not want me to rig something up myself when it comes to natural gas and I can see her concern so I am looking for a professional. I do not know who else to contact in this matter as the yellow pages do not point to anyone specific who can do this.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,
Mike

Why not buy a conversion kit? They should be readily available. All your really doing is changing out an orifice plate to a different size to allow the proper about of NG through. I've seen conversion of Catadyne heaters from NG to propane the other way should be just as easy.

I phoned BBQ Galore and they said kits cost between 30-130 range but he doesn't recommend the average do-it-yourself guy to install these. I dont know, never done one before. Not sure what is all involved.

It should just be an orifice plate in the regulator thats changed out and an air adjustment screw that will adjust amount of air let in to produce the proper burning flame.

IF you can take apart the regulator to get to the orifice plate you can generally just goto a BBQ retailer and ask for the different orifice plate.

Bump from the dead. Bought dad a nice Signet 90 a few years back, and now they are buying a new house that has a NG line. Want to convert to NG, but don't really understand the process. BBQ galore says I need like $180 in parts to make it happen, seems like a lot?

Call OMC(broil king supplier), the kit was around $100 shipped me to me for the broil king royal.

Sweet, was it just the manifold that you got (the place where all the temp adjusters are, or did it have a hose and other things as well?
