The alternator in the Stang went t/u earlier this week.I checked a few places ,and got a good deal at Canadian Alternator and Starters . They're in the N.E. and they're numbers in the book.
They were the cheapest. Their alternators have a one year warranty and they charge only $20 for instalation.

Ive had a few alternators rebuilt, I do the labor on them myself. To rebuild one on my ae86 was 50 bucks and to rebuilds the porsche was 200 not bad considering a new alternator for an ae86 was 350 and a porsche one was 700

Perhaps I spoke too soon. Today my alt gauge was jumping all over the place ,and the SDS was showing a battery charge of 10/11 volts instead of 14+. All the visible connections are tight. I suspect the alternator...I'll get it checked tomorrow.
