Well, after spending most of my youth on a bike I am finally getting back into riding. Just got the news I am getting a spanky shiny new 2007 R6. I haven't owned a bike since 1990 and am SO ready to ride again. I can hardly wait until April 8 when I can go pick her up. It's going to be hard going without sleep until then! :D

What color did you choose? The red or blue? Blackfoot has a killer deal on them right now.

I pick up my 07 R6 (Candy Red) this weekend sometime ;) Just waiting on autotemp to finish the alarm install.

The killer deal was in January - $84xx all in, out the door

that's an 08 :P not a big fan of the color scheme, but a big fan of the fact it even seems a little taller than the 07's, I'm lookin at a two tone silver one out of the states...

The scheme looks FAR better in person.

If you haven't seen it in person....I highly reccomend!

meh...I'd be interested in seeing how much of a difference the variable length intake system makes on the R6. maybe I'll have to come take a look at your bike some time, I rode an 07 for a couple minutes a while back and my initial impression was that the 05 I currently ride has a LOT more mid range. and now I installed a -1 front sprocket, so it'll be even more so.

my roommate loves that color scheme also, I dunno though. I haven't seen it in person since I missed the bike show...

It's almost as cute as the rider imo.

Well, once I have the fairings and stuff on, we can meet up for a timmies or a short cruise? I'll be teaching my buddy how to ride this weekend (He just picked up a Kawi 650R) So hopefully I'll be oot and aboot.

Gotta wait for Motorrad to finish with the lower front fairing.
Their supplier for the flushmounts is currently test-fitting a set for me for free! As they haven't confirmed the compatibility with the 08's yet!

Just picked it up this afternoon and all I can say is "Holy shit!!!" 140 km on the hiway in sixth gear and not even 10 k rpm yet. It isn't even in the powerband. Gonna take awhile to get used to it. Wouldn't even want to try a liter bike. :) Let the fun begin. :burnout:
