I have my cars insured with co-operators as do many of my friends.

All jdm's

Why are they denying you coverage? They legally cannot deny you plpd.

a lot of insurance companies arent covering a certain section for JDM vehicles because "parts are hard to find"
they will cover you with plpd, but they wont cover fire, theft, vandalism, hail, etc.

Wawanesa wont cover the section.
AMA wont cover them at all.
ING wont cover the section.

I searched all over my city, only place in town ended up being Allstate.
Give them a try.

If you don't have an insurance broker, you should go find one. They'll be able to find an company that will be willing to insure you - it'll save you the hassle of calling yourself, plus they can usually get you a pretty good rate.

That said, collision on your car might not be worth it. There are some replacement parts for JDM cars that aren't cheap because they simply aren't available here and insurance companies are realizing that so their jacking premiums up or just not offering collision. With the high rates for collision insurance, after a few years you might be paying more in premiums than your car is actually worth.

Not just that but imported cars cost more to repair, and if you write it off the ACV will be quite a bit lower than what you paid for the car because realistically, people who import are GENERALLY paying too much for a 15+ year old car.
