The stock D15 was giving great gas mileage at the expense of 70power :( so decided on doing a swap. lots of research and planned on going with

picked up a Jdm h22a from totaljdm.com for 950 including alternator and distributor, also picked up a jdm R tranny with lsd (4.4FD) and lots of little parts here and there. then came time for installation and heres how it sits as of today.

not at all. The only part that fits really tight is where the intake manifold usually sits, but with the h2b it tilts the motor forward on an angle so you have space for more intake manifold options.

Forgive me if I'm wrong gentlemen - it's entirely possible since I just smoked.

But aren't you gaining about 35% higher rpm horsepower at the expense of about 65% bottom end according to that chart?

Heck yes.

Not a Honda guy (despite owning one) but that is one clean hatch, and a nice swap.

Tasteful! Good work.

I hate civics, but I love yours. Very clean look, and with some actual decent power. That dyno graph shows a very flat torque curve, I didn't know those engines made that much torque down at 2000rpm. The h22 is from a Prelude correct?

You are correct the h22 is from the prelude srv and 97+ preludes.

The one i have in my car is the JDM h22a which has a higher compression than the USDM h22. About the numbers i guess i'm one of the few lucky ones with a good engine. The car really feels torquey at lowend and top-end thats when it starts to actually go. Very happy with how the tuning session went
