hey guys just a quick question here.

does anyone know how to clean the lens so that there are not as many scuff marks on it.

over time my headlight lens has faded and am wondering if there are any in house fixs for it, or if i will have to get a whole new unit.

any info helps guys.

thanks

You could try meguiar's plastx, I doubt this will do much for you so.... you'll probably have to wetsand it and polish it out. A polisher would make this much much much easier; your arms will probably fall off if you try it by hand.

In my autobody class i wet sanded the headlight till you couldn't see the little scratches switching to higher grit paper as i went. (What grit depends on your headlight) then used this headlight cleaner from Canadian Tire that cleaned it all up.

Or you can also use abrasive wax first. Then use non abrasive wax after.

Try the meguires plastx to start see how it does. If its still really bad you will have to find a DIY on the net on how to properly wet sand headlights. Or buy new ones :)

Power polisher takes care of plastic lenses.
