Hey guys, I have a condo in the downtown core that I want to rent out. I was wondering if anyone knows of companies that rents only to executives or to companies(ie oil and gas) For example, VPs that are flown in from other cities to work in Calgary for a year to a couple of years...

does anyone know how much these rental companies charge or the % cut?

9% is about average in Fort McMurray. I imagine the percentage would be similar in Calgary even though the rental rates would be about half.

would anyone know any companies that would help rent out the condo to these oil/gas companies so that they could get their staff to live in?

I think before you do that,.. you would want to look at your condo board rules to see if there are any restrictions to renting out your unit.

Do you have an up to date copy of the corporation papers and condo rules?

Yeah for long term rentals at all my condos are 10%. I don't know any managers in Calgary though.

I shall look into that. I know that others have rented out their unit. I believe the mgmt company actually helps rent out your unit also.

Management company rates are around 10%, but do you have more than one unit? I couldn't find a person willing to take less than 5 units, many wanting them to be in the same building.

Only one unit.. iguess it might be better to just rent it out privatley....are there any websites you guys would recommend to use for the listing?

I have always had great success with renting mine out with rentfaster.ca
