Hope this isn't a repost but did a quick search and didn't find anything

Well the transmission on my 97 Honda Prelude needs to be replaced. I had it inspected at National Transmission in Crowfoot and they said I have to either repair it or replace it. I was planning on selling the car after this school year was done so I don't want spends thousands on something I won't be able to use, but also i don't want to screw over the new owner. I want it to working fine for whoever buys the car. The prelude is an automatic sportshift and I know they are notorious for having tramsission problems

Would it be better to repair it or look at getting a used transmission. I heard you can order transmissions from Japan for fairly cheap. Anyone know who does this in Calgary and if it is worth doing? Or anyone know where I can get a used Honda Prelude Transmission. Also I am skeptical about National Transmission, anyone have a more reliable, honest, mechanic that I can go through? How much will the whole install be including labour to install a new tranny?

Any advice from people who have done the same would be greatly appreciated!
