View Full Version : FT: my iPhone for your iPhone

Hey guys kind of a weird post but I am looking to trade my slightly damaged iPhone for your iphone in good shape + cash on my part. The damage is not at all major and is repairable. All of This damage was incurred while I was hw unlocking my phone. So:
The back case does not perfectly line up along the edges. It sticks out about 0.5mm at the worst point. There is also a scratch on the screen about 1cm long and only "feelable" for half of that length. Anyways these stupidly minor things really bother me so if someone doesn't care and wants some quick cash pm me.

Pics to come soon. Don't pm me and ask for $150 for a trade. I am lazy to repair this on my own, but I am not that lazy. Oh and the phone was a 1.1.2 OTB and has been used for ~2 months. Currently it is on fw 1.1.4 and bl 3.9, fully working. Oh and last thing, my phone is an 8gb and I want another 8gb.

and im just curious. if refurbished only cost around 250...how much are you expecting to get for this phone?

This phone works perfectly, it is not refurbished as in there is absolutely nothing wrong with it besides the minor blemishes which can essentially all be fixed for about $30 and a few hours of time. IE This phone is NOT a refurbished phone. I am just too lazy to try and change out the back cover (which is really the only thing that bothers me)

dude man he can get more than 250 for this, and its only the glass thats scratched, u can get a new glass for 30 bucks on ebay thats what i'm doing to my iphone

Yup and the back case is $20 bucks on ebay. You can also get the glass polished at a watch repair shop too. It's not that bad honestly and if I don't get any offers I have no problem keeping it and repairing it on my own time whenever school is done. I am not looking to sell the phone without getting another iPhone in return.

If it costs someone 50 bucks to get it to brand new condition, I will pay $50 bucks for their phone because I am going to assume that their phone is not in brand new condition. It depends on the condition of the phone but you get the idea.

sooo....
front glass on ebay: 20bucks
back cover on ebay: 30bucks

And you are giving someone 50bucks to "swap" phones with you. So if someone doesnt care about minor flaws such as a cracked back cover, scratched front glass, and wants a quick 50 bucks they would want to swap you.

ok, just want to make sure how you would want to do this.

Surprising that a beyond moderator can say such stupid shit sometimes.

I did say in my original post that if you didn't give a shit about the cosmetic flaws, this is the trade for you, and you can make some quick cash, not "Buy my phone and repair it", didn't I?

i just want to make sure people understand what's going on and how much you are willing to pay for the "trade". nothing stupid about it. there i edited it so it sounds "better"
