Okay so i'm about ready to buy a car a few things that i have considered.
the hyundai for 9995.00 was a great deal until i found out it had no a/c.air.power.auto transmission.abs LOL so...
I also found a leaseback tirecraft employee car, its kinda beaten up lots of dings that the dealership said they'd fix but the price was good! Also i dont know but the 4cyl engine really felt underpowered and struggled when i floored it. I've been driving V6's for quite some time, honda odyssey most recently so i might just not be used to a 4cyl engine?
Basically this car will cost me 11,500 and its a 2005 with 101,000km not bad?
My other options are i COULD get a Honda civic or toyota corolla, they're 22,000 and 20,000 off the lot base each and just finance it at 0.9%...
suggestions?
What kind of car are you getting from Tirecraft?
Here's something to think about: gas is $1.10 and rising, and the yaris gets 35+ mpg. It's a lot slower than a V6, sure, but it also goes farther for less.

Hyundai is advertising a new accent for under 10K right now as part of some sale.
if it was me, I'd do that instead of buying a leaseback. Plus there is 0% financing availible on some models.
Right now, with all the incentives, buying used cars is actually pretty expensive compared to buying new. Especially if you need to take out a loan from the bank to finance it.

100k for a 2005 is too high.

sure its high, but its not too high
its 4 years old, average of 25,000kms a year, which is quite easy to rack up with all the resources in and outside of Calgary...
i would say the price should be adjusted a bit more considering the condition of the vehicle though

the yaris are pretty pimp.
Look at rage2's yaris (well his little brothers). You get some lowering springs, rims, and a supercharger and your still laughing.
That or get the new xB. God I love the look of the new ones.
edit: I love HP, but am starting to grow out of it. There is only so much you can use it driving around the city to work and such. I care more about how the car looks and how comfortable/practical it is. Plus the xB and Yaris you can get up to 150/200 hp with a few grand in SCing and an intake and exhaust.

I'm gonna defend the Yaris here...
A) OK can't defend this one... my bro drives it most of the time and I suspect he might be gay
B) Last year's beyond cruise to Banff, I was the fastest one to get there. In a Yaris.
C) It's a great car for the money. Used is even better. Plus you get $1000 back from the government for saving fuel (I think that's still in place...)
