Don't worry AIDS, Mother Nature, and the US Government are all working hard to increase the death toll.

Those numbers are quite inaccurate. I've posted that link on many forums, rather then search for the pages (to model the results), I just remember there being a fair bit of proof to prove everything wrong.

its somewhat accurate (to a basic degree) but still quite wrong in every way. :dunno:

Assuming the population growth for each day remains at around 200,000 people a day, population of Earth will reach 7 billion by approximately 2012.
Stop humping people.

We aren't overpopulated by an stretch of the term.

You could take the earths ENTIRE population, put them ALL in the US, and your population density would still be lower then London.

Now THAT is a useful statistic

At any moment now you could easily go survivor man if you wanted to.

The point to be taken from this is that countries like Canada, US, etc, should really start trying to figure out ways to expand it's infrastructure to accomodate and "expolit" the huge supply of people in places that are crowded. A P3 city based on a major employer (O&G engineering/marketing/sales/etc hub?) could concievably be created, and take pressure off of Calgary, and with cheap land and only desirable people there, might not cost too much more than adding another few office buildings/subdivisions/hospitals/etc here in town.... I could be wrong, but it'd be something to look at. Kind of like the old mining towns or Ft. McMurray, except with a planned industry, rather than a natural resource....
