u can call shaw and give them the serial # and they will tell you when it was purshased.. bump..

i got a question maybe anyone can anwser, if i buy this do i have to contact shaw to get all the channels and will my bill come more or does it all just come with the purchase or the pvr? thanks

You need to call shaw to activate the reciever and your bill only goes up by about $10 a month. Great price! New pvrs range from 650-700

yes, full cable (50+ analog stations) is roughly $49/month add $2 for digital (gets you 6 hd stations) then an additional $9 for the remaining hd stations.

If you haven't had PVR, you've got to try it. Awesome. I never watch commercials anymore, rewinding and pausing live TV is pretty cool, and it's super easy to record shows.
