figured i'd put this here. Have a cousin visiting from back home, came out here to work for a bit. Has a couple interviews with university back in Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick which all told him last week so he's got to book it back. Me and my sister want to take him out for a couple drinks before he leaves but don't know good pubs in the SE. He was staying close to lake bonavista with my my godfather and i live in Lake Chaparal we need somewhere close to the ctrain line and not too far from here. We won't be driving tonight since we will be blasted don't want to go to far.

Not Dixon's....good food, good beer but the most horrendous service I've ever had. Need suggestions quick here. haha.

hahahah dixon's is a nice place but some of the servers are just clueless...when me and the buddies from work go out we usually rack up a 200$ to 500$ bill in near 2 to 3 hours quite quickly....at Dixon's due to the slow ass speed of the service we usually only manage 150$ between the 3 or 4 of us...it's pretty ridiculars if you ask me. We get better service at BP's in Shawnessy than we do at Dixon's....and this is even when it's half empty at dixons when they have no excuse being slow.

+1 yea, newer, bigger and usually filled with ppl (as compared to Dixon's like a sardine can, I almost knocked myself out by that hideous TV mantle looking out the smoker's corner)

Try Mr. Snappes too in Shawnessy on Shawville Blvd.

don't like Snappes in Shawnessy just don't like the layout. Wish I could of went to the Kilt in Mackenzie but that's way out of the way.

Theres the rat & parrot in bonivista, used to go there on wing night all the time, good food and a young crowd. You get off at canyon meadows station and walk south, and like 200 yards down past this ford dealer and by the toyota one i think, beside the theatres anyway, just across the street.

Brewsters, good food, the beer was amazing. They brew it themselves. try the "River city rasberry" or the "blueberry ale" its just

I could live there, honestly.
