Ya a friend of mine in the states bought a 37" visio LCD... picture quality was ok, but not great, black level was brutal.

Would I buy one... no.:thumbsdow

If you've got some good coin to spend on a new tv I wouldn't reccomend them. However if your on a budget and looking for something that will do the job they are great I own 10 of the 32" 720p ones in bedrooms at my rental condos and 5 of the 42" 1080p ones for living rooms. They do an awesome job for all types of things (sports, gaming, movies etc.) However if your looking for something that's high end go with something like an XBR4
