will you need a sound surround system to make this compatible?

or will your tv be able to make some use of this DTS-HD?

OMG, this completely makes the PS3 the best BR player for the money by leaps and bounds. 2.0 was a killer just but now DTS-HD?
Score.

Well I bought Walk Hard on BD last night. Tried some of the BD-Live stuff... it was slow as hell. It's unusable... definately have to wait again for a good BD-Live firmware upgrade on the PS3.

I guess I'm getting used to the fact that I bought the PS3 so I can beta test for Sony . Kinda sad really, everything else Sony is so "perfect" out of the box.

I have a Sony STR-DA5300ES receiver... upscales everything to HDMI, does all the HD audio codecs. 1 cable now from receiver to TV. Sony store doesn't even have 'em. Soundsaround sells 'em for about $1300. Best HDMI 1.3 receiver for the money.

How did you get that to work? .. I thought you can't play .mkv .. which most of the hd files are

awesome thanks .. I just converted 300 in about 3-4min .. but I can't get it to show up on ps3 or 360 ... I added the mp4 to registry and tried adding the file to WMP11 library but it won't show up :dunno:

edit: I got an episode of Heroes to work .. about 1.52 GB .. 300 is 4.64 GB .. is that why it doesn't work?
