Looking for some Amsoil European Car Formula
Synthetic 5W-40 Motor Oil (AFL) here in town that I can buy.

I called Option Import, but they don't have enough on hand... Who else stocks Amsoil stuff? (called Part-Source, they don't have the 0-40 Amsoil)

Thanks!

If you can't wait for Option Import to order some I think you might be out of luck...

Just order it direct. The warehouse is in Edmonton so it only takes a day or two -- right to your front door ;)

I saw 5w30 and 10w30 today at Canadian Tire. But i wasn't paying attention for 5w40.

Just buy Mobil 1 0W-40 European Formula and call it a day. When is the last time you heard of engine failure that a magic oil could have prevented? It's more important to change your oil on a regular basis than the type you use. Hell even the brand of oil filter is more important than the manufacturer of the oil.

I didn't like AMSOIL at all. It got dark twice as fast as Castrol syntec (German production, not N.A.), and cost twice as much.

Crowfoot Dodge carries it, I don't know about weight you want though.

Call me ignorant, but what's different about European formula oil? Is it as awesome as JDM oil?

Many European cars have adopted the 5W - 40 & 0W - 40 grades. There's no secret formula. I ran 0W - 40 in my SRT4 exclusively as that was what the Dodge engineers recommended on the SRTforums.com factory engineer chat sessions.

I used AmsOil in everything I own. My bike runs significantly cooler with Amsoil then even Motul. Amazing stuff. I now use it in my Z4 too.
