Vehicle Registration Question

I am going to buy a van which was imported from USA, but it has been registered in Alberta for over 5 years. Right now it has Alberta license plate.

If I buy this US vehicle, do I have to do out of country inspection again in order for me to register under my name.

Unless its some really old pos van(1980's for example) then something like that your insurance company would want you to get inspected. If its under 10 years old or so you shouldn't have any problems getting reregistered since that it was already registered here in alberta.

As long as it was last registered in Alberta, the registries will not require any inspections. Your insurance company might want a saftey done depending on the year, but other than that you are good to go
