Will try it when I get home, looks pretty cool. From the post by Erica on TUAW, Gizmo works but Skype doesn't.

Ok but for us canadians without unlimited data, how will this be good? It'll only work when wifi is available, correct?

Edge will not be fast enough for VOIP anyways. I almost wanna buy an IPHONE just for all the cool shit they have coming out for it. I just can't bring myself down to Rogers BRUTAL data plans....Telus $15 unlimited data plan FTW!!!

The Americans can't use VoIP with their unlimited data plans because the provider is going to consider it "conference calling" (which it clearly isn't).

meh...we cant use it either IMO...it'll cost big money with the crappy cost of internet/data here. If using wifi, just use a land line if you are too cheap to use minutes hahahaha

i tried this out using the skypeout option, didnt really work well. half the conversation was crystal clear, but the other half was garbled (the upload half) 90% of the time. maybe they'll get it worked out...

this was over wifi, on regular shaw cable.

still could be handy in hotels and such. its easier to find wi-fi than a landline these days!
