Tao
+1 for spearming Rhino
Restaurants, depends on where you're staying. There's too many great restaurants in Vegas.
Show: Cirque du Soleil, O at the Bellagio
tickets are cheaper if you buy them the day of, kiosks throughout that sell them on the day of the show.

Search, this has been covered several times already

Just went to vegas las week. Perfect weather. Hot during the day and cool at nights.

Cirque du Soleil - O or mystere. I would suggest to book it in advance. A week before at lease unless you want to go on standby. This is on weekends but weekday shows should be alright to book early in the day or a day before.

Rio on saturdays - buffet with lots and lots of king crab legs. Awesome!!! Weekdays no crab legs.

Mensclub - go off the strip - lil'darlings and I forgot the other one but it's on the same road.

Shopping - off the strip - Premium outlet. Go their website and join the vip club to get coupons and more discounts. Average clearance shoes are around 30 bucks and nikes for 30 to 50 bucks. Best deals I got there was a Guess t-shirt for 1.75 and Puma shoes for $5.00, that is if your lucky. If go there with a group expect to stay there for a whole day. We always go there 3 to 2 times for every trip and you still end up buying something. Lol!!!!

There are two outlets in vegas. Premium Outlet and Las Vegas outlet stores. I like the Premium one better.

Ka's a good show. I liked it a lot more than O... but that's probably cuz it was a lot easier to follow the story line... or I'm just really dense.

heard they have good hookers....pick up a couple eight balls....and then order some hookers to your room haha. They have discreet billing options too.

but in all honesty check out a couple buffets they have excellent food and all you can eat and some have sparkling wine too. Check out the ferrari dealership at the Wynn hotel. Catch any Cirque du Soleil you can get into.

There are some good chain restaurants too if you don't know the city that well. Check out Claim Jumpers dunno where it is but it's super good.

Also walk the strip and keep going in to casino's to get beers, and i mean walk the strip at night, not too late but not too early. Go out and walk it at like 9 to 12 anytime between that you are bound to see this among many things: hot chicks, weird shit, super sweet cars and it's nice and warm still.

Went about 12 times to vegas with the ex when her dad lived there and one time we seen 3 Bentley's a couple Rolls and a few ferraris and Lambos racing down the strip at pretty high speeds....it's super fun in vegas.

My parents and a few of their friends just tried out the Mansion and had the 16 course tasting menu. They said it was pretty damn good! The presentation was incredible from the pictures I have seen!!!

Tryst is an awesome club. The waterfall is awesome, and the last time I was there I saw Scottie Pippen.

The Rio's buffet is unreal. The buffet at the Paris isn't as good nor is it as big.

Voodoo Lounge on the roof of the RIO is pretty cool. Great View from the 54th floor.

You can buy Cirque tickets up to 4 months in advance, if you want to. They go on sale on Cirque's website, exactly 4 months early.

I have done a lot of the buffets, and by far the one at Steve Wynn's is the very best, but not cheap! lol The Bellagio is pretty damn good too...

If you want an absolutely amazing steak, Smith and Wollensky will leave you so full you will wanna puke out the taxi on the way back to the hotel!

Hit up liquor stores and bring cans of beer everywhere you go lol.
Cirque de Soleil "O" was great. Get the tickets ahead of time if you want good seats or more than 2 together. Premium outlets is great. I got 2 pairs of DCs for 2/3 the price of what i paid for the same ones in Calgary last year. If its your first time you'll want to walk the strip and check out what all the hotels/casinos are all about.

Go to the Harley Davidson cafe (on strip) and have the BBQ Beef Bricket Sandwich. It's so good it's great!

I love how open liquor is allowed pretty much EVERYWHERE, I had a been in my hand and we were getting into a cab. I was getting prepared to chug it but then I was told I could take it with me.

A private poker game at Caesars and a reserved table/s at PURE.

Both are for 30 people.

dude the question is what not to do in Vegas. all suggestions said here are good bets but once you get there (if its your first time) you will be floored by the entire experience/ambiance and wondering what to do will not be a question any more.

The only thing to absolutely make sure you do is to be shitface drunk 24/7 to make everything that much more enjoyable. You won't need much sleep either. I slept maybe 12 hours in 4 days I was down there my first time.

My flight is booked to be down in LA for May 22, then off to Vegass the next week! WOOT!!!!

Club - Pure, Tangerine, Studio 54, Tao
Mens Club - Spearmint Rhino, Olympic Garden
Restaurant - Nobu

The best buffet I've ever had in Vegas is the one at the Wynn. More expensive than others but it's well worth it. The MGM Grand one isn't bad either.

I would highly recommend Pure and Tangerine. Last time I was there DMX was at Pure in the VIP and did a 3 song set which was wild. At Tangerine we ran into Ray Lewis, Joe Smith, and got a picture with Mr. Belding.

And Spearmint?!?! Well you have to go and experience it.

As they say, sleep is over rated in Vegas. The pump oxygen into the casios to make you stay awake longer!

For a reasonable buffet, I'd hit up the one at TI as well (I thought it was better than the one at Bellagio).

The first time in Vegas you'll spend most of your time looking around and repeating "I can't believe I just saw that!" it's a blast but be prepared to spend some serious coin to have fun.

The first time there I was surprised at the cost of everything, especially the clubs.

Most strip clubs are 24 hrs just like the casinos.

Depends on what club you go too. Last time I went to Vegas we left Pure around 330 and it was still jumping and packed. The next night we went to Tangerine and they shooed everyone out by about 400-430 if I remember correctly.

Ok, I just got back from 4 days in Vegas.

1. Do not ask a cab driver what is the best strip club. There are only 3 that are good. Treasures, Sapphire and Rhino (best). Cab drivers and limo drivers get paid to bring you to clubs. Some get paid up to $75 to bring you to a shitty one.
2. Don't take a limo to a strip club. Why? You end up paying more for cover and more for drinks. You are a nobody in Vegas. Even if you have $10 million in the bank, you are still a nobody. Take a cab and save yourself some cash.
3. On a weekend, if going to Rhino, be prepared to wait a long time for a table. It might be better to start the night at Sapphires or Treasures and then go to the Rhino later. lol
4. The bitches in the club are AGGRESSIVE. They pull your hair and rub their tits and asses in your face to get your attention... LOL. Don't wear glasses. hahahhahaa Most of them are also loaded or high on something...
5. Pure is a great club. Nice place to hangout if you like something left to the imagination. We stayed at Caesars, so we were there every night. After you are done there, you can go win money from the poor saps at the poker tables next door. Fuck, people were just giving money away.

When you are in Vegas, call this cab driver:
Joel Lopez.
702-217-3573

Either he, or his buddy will hook you up with this deal:

He will take you to any strip club you want. If you don't like it or even if you do like it, call him up when you are done and he will take you to the next club and refund the cover charge of the previous club. If you don't like the second club and want to go to a third one, he will refund your cover again. He will do that until you find a club you like. Obviously, you still have to pay him the cab fare for driving you around to each club, but at least you get your cover back. Cover is $30 to $50 a head depending on the night and where you go (at least that is what we paid). Drinks are $20 each... haha

Well they are really $15. But what, are you going to say to the girl that you want $2 back after you hand her a $20 bill? hahaha

Any questions?

lol..great advice on the strip clubs.

My take on Vegas strip clubs is this. NONE of them will even touch the better Vancouver ones. First of all...In Vegas, all the classy ones are topless only. Any of the full nudes are seedy and expensiveand non-alcohol. When I can drop into any strip club in Vancouver or even Calgary and get full nude dances with a beer for only $6/drink and no cover..why waste money in Vegas.

I'd rather save the money for the good clubs (ie: Pure etc) or just the poker tables and top notch shows (Blue Man, Cirque, Penn&Teller etc) Vegas strip clubs are WAY overrated. My wife and I went into one just for a drink and to check it out. Forget which one, but one of the higher end ones. it was midday so almost empty..but got a real nice tour of the whole place from the manager/owner himself. he gave us a bunch of VIP passes/free cover for the next time we came down. Told us to call him personally and he'd arrange transport from our hotel. Showed us the private rooms upstairs...that might get interesting! :poosie:

We stayed at Caesars the last time too. Not bad. we were in the older rooms..the new tower is great..but $300/night.

Depends on the strip club you go too. Last time I was in Vegas we were at Hooters getting some food before heading to the Rhino and a stretch Hummer gave us a "free" ride. We gave him $5 each and we didn't pay cover that night.

The time before that when I went we took cabs to the Rhino and the dudes behind us rocked a limo and we all paid the same cover.

3. On a weekend, if going to Rhino, be prepared to wait a long time for a table. It might be better to start the night at Sapphires or Treasures and then go to the Rhino later. lol

That's what bottle service is for :-P

Gets you your own table right away, a prompt server, and a dude to get you the girls you want.

I found the girls at Sapphire and Treasures to be more aggressive than at Rhino. Treasures probably the most.

I wish Crazy Horse hadn't shut down. In all the times I've gone I've checked out all the others except Crazy Horse. For shame....

Hmmm...always take a cab. I think renting a car is waste of money, especially if you plan on just running the strip, if you plan on going off the strip, as long as you're with maybe 4 or 5 people, it'll only be 5-10 bucks for the ride. Limos are also a waste, because like Benyl said, clubs will only charge you more for cover and more for drinks and you're a nobody in LV, so there is really no point in acting like you got 'baller status' lol.

Pure, Tangerine and Tao are a few of the best clubs in Vegas. If you have a good number of people and some money to spend, you can pay your way in and get bottle service. Otherwise, it'll probably be awhile in line. I went to RumJungle in Mandalay, it wasn't too bad, but I would have prefered something a little better. For some eye candy, there's also the Hawaiian Tropics Zone beside Planet Hollywood. Any club guarantees bitches galore, but watch out, that's all I'm saying, I guess you'll have to play and see. Haha.

Stripclubs are great but you often have to shell out for GOOD lap dances. If you've been to Montreal, it will probably suck for you going to a Vegas mens club with high expectations. Spearmint Rhino is probably the best one. Scratch that....just go to the Bunny Ranch and blow most of your money there. State legal whore house for the win hahaha!

I haven't seen Ka, but I heard it was better than 'O', it's sorta like Crouching Tiger type shit. That would be the next show I'll probably watch. When I was there, there was also the Blue Man Group and Pen/Teller. Not sure if they perform on a regular basis, but you could check it out.

For food, Mandalay Buffet is good. They have everything from Oriental food, Italian, Continental, Mexican etc. IMO, worth the $29, especially if you like unlimited crab legs. Todai Japanese Buffet is probably the best one I've been to for Japanese food. All you can eat for $30 and they have so much food. It's located in The Miracle Mile Mall, right beside Planet Hollywood Hotel.

If you wanna pre-game quickly and for cheap, hit up Fat Tuesday in either Forum Shops or Miracle Mile and order a "Cat 5 Hurricane", it's a slushy drink with a good helping of 151. They serve it in a HUGE whale bone container (It's so big, it comes with a neck sling to help you hold it) for like $25...That shit will fcuk you up quick LOL.

If you wanna shop, there is either the Miracle Mile Mall beside Planet Hollywood, The Fashion Show mall (adjacent from the Wynn) and The Forum Shops at Caesars. By far the Forum Shops was my favorite, only because it was the only place in LV with a Nike Town hahaha. Off the strip but not too far away is the Premium Outlets. If you've been to the Seattle one, it's pretty much the same.

I can't wait to go, going to see ufc 84 in may. By the sounds of it i won't have enough money to get into the bigger clubs.

is it worth going out to the hover dam? What are some of the better comedy or magic shows? and has anybody done the go karts on the strip?

rmk

Hoover Dam was pretty darn cool. Unless you are into "dam" shit (tour), swing by there on a desert roadie and snap some pics. There is a ton of stuff to see. When i was last there, we rented a Jeep TJ and missioned everywhere in the desert over 1 day. The coolest was going to the border of Area 51. Then it was back to the strip.

Anyone have an experience of Body English @ the Hard Rock?
