Snow is gone, but potholes are plenty. Oh well, just gotta drive careful I guess :)

Here's the result of some parts I collected over the winter. It's lowered 2" and I have 18x8 F and 18x9.5 R.

Nice, clean and simple :burnout: what's with the po-po station? is that where the storage place is across? (smart idea)

I'm curious as to why you decided to stagger your setup?
Wouldn't that induce a lot more understeer? Especially in a FWD car?

MrX

I don't drive on the streets to the point where I would be inducing under or oversteer with my staggered setup. For track days I have my stock 17s.

This setup is strictly form over function:)

^ ya i have always been interested in why (other than looks) do Jetta and GTi owners like to do staggered setups and how does it affect your handling driving a fwd with huge rear wheels/tires?

don't get me wrong tho, staggered porsche bbs's on jettas look amazing!

What suspension setup is it? How does it ride and do you rub?

MrX
04-20-2008, 10:14 PM
vogtland 50mm on stock shocks. The ride is a bit firmer than stock and very comfortable for daily driving. I have no rubbing issues with this setup

Yep. Huge pothole at the apex haha. I think it'll easily destroy a rim from the looks of it.

I thought they patched that pothole? I used to always forget about that pothole and hit it everytime... then one day I forgot about it AGAIN, and it felt really smooth (well alot less harsh)!!!

I hear so many good things about the GTi and I've always wanted one. I'm going to test one out! Great looking cars too!

I highly recommend going for a test drive. I wasn't even planning on getting one. I went to the dealership one weekend for a random test drive and walked out the door with one by the end of the night. wtf!! but that's how addictive the car was:)
