I had my G4 PowerBook 12 inch stolen and I am looking to replace it with something new. Let me know if you have something for sale.

PM me or call 828 6911. I am looking to get one by April 26th.

Thanks!

I appreciate the comment, but what does sucks mean? Why would you recommend Pro?

I'm a Mac fanboy, and even I'll tell you NOT to get the Air...

Look at this benchmark, the older gen MacBook and older gen MacBook Pro did better than the Air in all but 1 test:

And if you want to run Windows on it, even the MacBook I had 2 years ago ran XP better than any laptop I saw at the time...

do you travel alot? do you have a bad back? do you do anything on your computer other than visit websites? then the air is for you.

if you do anything else, get a macbook.

if you need more power than that get a pro.

(there's an open box one at best buy deerfoot)

There are three open box airs at Deerfoot Meadows BB (as of a couple of days ago)

There was also a MBP for $1600.

Yeah I have to agree with the above, the AIR is a cool book but perf wise its behind the times for a price that's too steep. Give it 6 months, they'll ram better gear in there.

Thanks for all the info gents.

I am coming from a 12 inch G4 PowerBook so I was excited about the size and ease of travel.

I am guessing you would recommend a MacBook Pro then? Or even a cheaper MacBook?

the ones that were open box, or display models were in shitty condition.

That sucks. The one I got was mint. No Scratches at all.

if you're used to the size of the powerbook, then just got with the MB if you don't need a crazy amount of processing power. if you do, then the MBP is your choice, but it comes with a price tag, and a weight/size disadvantage...

purely up to you based on your needs.
