problem with 04 wrx

hey guys i just bought the car a little over a week ago from calgary subaru(2004 wrx 5 speed) and i was driving home tonight from the game, stepped on the gas and heard a pop, then the revs came up along with the speedo. now i know the car was not getting significantly faster so im just wondering if anyone has had this problem before? i know that if it was just the tach reving up then my clutch is gone but the speedo is going up as well...?

If you bought it over a week ago you still have the used car warranty, its like 30 days or 3000kms I think?

I think all dealerships have that kind of used car warranty...once you buy it off the lot, you have 30 days or 3000kms warranty...

^ subaru calgary is a bunch of crooks. they used to sell there cars without warrenty and give you the runaround about the condition of there cars. i do beleive the new batches of used subarus do have warrenty tho.
