Worm Virus

Shit i have just got a brand new pc and i got this Worm virus shit can some please help me??? please be specific since i ave been going to links and they arent helping me at all.

under tools in Internet explorer, choose "windows update" and follow the instructions on the screen. get all the critical updates and then reboot. You should be ok then!

Actually I was building a new comp last night, and got the virus within a minute (before I could get to windows update).

Get zone alarm, and install that (www.zonealarm.com). Then go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com (my tools->windowsupdate links were disabled while the worm was resident, even after killing the task).

There's another thread in here called Windows XP Reboot bug or something like that.

Looks like Microsoft it turning off the www.windowsupdate.com address entirely (they still have all the other redirects).

I got the stupid thing yesterday and got the patch but after it asked for a disk with xp called ms service pack one...:dunno: don't have that. Did anyone else get this after installing the patch? That message keeps popping up now instead of my pc being restarted so I guess that's a little better...:nut:
