It's all I got

I have a 03 maxima. I like the car but there is an oddity. The passenger side window will not roll up.

Let me be specific, when rolled down, it stays down. When rolled up it will roll up and then unroll arround 1 1/2 inches. The front window are one touch up and down. So when you hit the up, and release it the window goes up and then does it's trick of rolling back down. The only way to avoid this is to hold the "up switch" and then window will stay up. However, once you relase the swtich it goes back down. The only way to keep it up is to hold the up switch and then turn the window lock on. After a few minutes, you can take the window lock off and it stays up.......

Anyone heard of this before?

You better get out of that car....

Your power window switches are fried. Time to call a junk yard and pick up new ones. They are super easy to change out.

did you have the car detailed and washed recently?

I was thinking maybe something to do with the safety sensors? Maybe something is sticking or jamming and tripping the sensors. On one touch mode in my VW it'll go up, and if something stops it, it'll drop the window about 3 inches.

This is a common issue with the G35's. The power window motor craps out and unrolls the window after you roll it up. After a while the motor will die altogether and you are stuck with the window up....or down.
You could look up and do the power window "re-learn" that resets everything...(just an idea)
I dont know if your issue is related to the G's, but if it is. hit the junk yard or order the part and get a shop to fix it.
Dealership charged me $800+ parts an labour.
Window motor online is >$100 and it should only take an hour or two.

same thing happened for my family's infiniti
from the sound of it, it's definitely a nissan/infiniti problem

Apparently the computer that controls the power window thinks the "completely" up position is about 1 1/2 inch down from actual close.
a temporary fix could be when you close the window don't use the automatic close and just close it a little bit at a time.

The problem was fixed when the computer gets a reset
We had to take it to the shop, I'm not sure if you could reset it on your own easily.
