View Full Version : Where else can I find high-rise apartments? (S.W, Near downtown)

I have looked in a bunch of places today
Stanley park – Full
Glenmore Heights – Full
Boardwalk (Nears Sarcee) – 1 bedroom starts at 1050/m - $1,109
The place on 17th ave and 37th st (Cheap, but full for years)

Where is everyone renting? I am willing to move into a smaller building, but I would prefer a high-rise apartment.

I’m trying to find something for under $1,000/m for a single bedroom, or maybe $1,200 for a double bedroom..

Thanks

How high qualifies as High Rise? There are tons on my street... but max out at say 10ish stories? I will check if their signs say availability...

But cant be bad to just cruise down 16th, 18th ave Etc.

Maybe check www.rentfaster.ca

Any particular reason why you want a high rise?

^Was going to say rent faster. But the real answer is, if supply is that far behind demand ... pay up.

I just like the look of them more, I am willing to get into something smaller as well, my buddy has an apt in the Stanley Park building, and it is super nice...

I've tried rentfaster, and homerent.ca, I know I would like to find something for May 1st, but if not I'm willing to wait till June...

Rouleau is a little more high-end. I'd imagine $1500+ for a place...

Yeah, I checked out a 1 BDRM (~700 sq. ft.) there a couple of months back. They were asking ~$1400/month plus another $100 for underground parking. Nice place, but pricey for a single person.

This might be cheaper than Rouleau and is across the street from it.

Elbow Tower
105 - 26 Avenue SW

I pay 1200 for a 4 br bungalo with paved driveway in a good neighbourhood, I can't imagine paying over 1000 for an apartment

What was it like? I run by there almost daily while using the paths. Looks like a nice place for rental apartments.

You pay for location. Just like you can spend for a house in the 'burbs, you can spend $450k on a downtown condo.
