im so tempted to go top mount...

i think top mount is nice. i spent a bit of time finding the right turbo for this sr. i wanted to focus on power through all rpm's so i went with the turbonetics t3 turbo and matched it up with a geeddy front mount. from there i went with a turbo rx 38mm waste gate custom painted to match the valve cover. also put some 550cc spitter in, rocker arm stoppers, aem fuel pressure regulator.
As far as engine internals go nothing has been done yet. in the near future i plan to throw in new valves, cams, and cam gears.

Is that a K20 Honda engine??
What are you using for fuel management?

there's a bad joke.
fuel management for me is a joke, im leaning more towards drifting so she can run a lil rich if needed. basically fuel pressure regulator and walbro 255 fuel pump

Does it bog/stall/backfire with nothing controlling those 550s?

Nah, your tuned ECU prolli is tuned for those 550cc's thats why....cuz otherwise it would just flood your engine with fuel all the time...but nice work...keep up the good stuff

I'm assembling my sr20det for my s14 on sunday....well, bottom end anyways, im waiting for my head gasket and exhaust manifold gasket haha (=. Soon enuff tho, the fun will begin. I'll take pics of the build as i go along with the process. I wish i could say im putting crazy internals into it but, thats not the case:(
im doing a stock build with new rings, bearings, and a hone, but i have another block aside that needs a bore, so i will bore it .5 over, and put in eagle rods and cp pistons, and more goodies...

long live KA
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/3879/img0005uj9.jpg
Just installed my 1 piece aluminium D/S 2 days ago. :D Waiting for my new radiator and electric fans. I lightened the crank with Fidanza lightweight flywheel, and a aluminium underdrive pulley set, fan removal ETC... Brian Crower S2 cams are on there way to give the motor some top end. Very torquey setup complete with full I/H/E. A lightweight flywheel on any KA makes it rev very nicely. And to top it off a piggy back setup to lean it out, cause it's running slightly rich right now. Motor is out of a S14 so it has a slightly better intake manifold vs. earlier KAs. Everyone is saying I should do a 2.6L stroker build lol. If I had the room and tools I would have saved my old KA and rebuilt it with a BC 2.6L stroker kit. Also with the price of gas it's nice to be able to fill up with regular :)
It would however be nice to see some more Turbo KAs around here tho...

I like the old logo KA-T.org had, it was a kids Radio Flyer Red wagon, with a SR20 engine inside it and it said ChildsPlay on the front IIRC'

Just built it, turned out pretty nice actually. As for valve cover gasket ,i believe 1992 g20 you can get it for, or you can order a whole gasket set on ebay since youre going to need it anyways. Itll come with every gasket you need to assemble
