Hey guys I am going to Germany and I am wondering what I need to buy to make all of my electronics compatible with their power outlets. My electronics include iPhone, camera, electric razor, etc.

Thanks

Hey, when are you going/where?

I'm leaving in 2 weeks for Germany as well (staying there for 2 months!).....

You just need a voltage convertor if your chargers don't have one built in...it should say on the phone charger label the voltage range.

Otherwise just that and plug adapters of course. :)

Camera and razor will likely have universal voltage (and frequency) meaning that it can take 100 V to 240 V, 50 Hz or 60 Hz. You just need to find an adapter for the wall plug.

You should be fine with just a universal adapter... They have them for like 9 bucks at the Bay (Sell them by the suit cases). Thats what I just use when I go to the UK and Europe.

^^^
Depends some are just adapters, some have converter built in (usually the slighty "bigger" ones)

Buy the adapter here(perhaps even 2), much easier to find. Lost mine in Germany and had to call at least a dozen spots before I could buy another one.

Alright, I think my iPhone charger is also a voltage converter, it lists 220V on the back so I think it works. Where should I look for one of those adapters?

The Bay, Sears, Walmart. Probably by the suitcases and travel stuff. Some places that sell bags and suitcases and purses and shit like that usually have stuff like that too.

When I was in the UK and Spain i recharged my blackberry / labtop / camera with one of the adapaters from the bay , everything seemed to work fine...

But I do agree , by it here , I had a hell of a time trying to find an adapater when I lived in Australia , such a hassle!

Hey where abouts in germany ya headin?
i lived there for 8 years, close to munich

i went back 2 years ago and every adapter i bought (here) and in europe crapped out on me, so i just bought new stuff there (hair straightener, blow dryer etc) gave it to family when i left since i had no need for it here.
