Hi all,

In need of new wiper blades, Walmart used to sell them for ~10 each, now they are up to 17.99 ea?

Anyway, looking to find out where they can be had for less.

Thanks.

If you're talking about something similar to those Reflex blades that Canadian Tire sells - they're not that great (especially @ $17.99). I'd stick with with the Bosch blades or even PIAA.

Yea I had some reflex blades and I didnt think they were that great. Look on eBay if you want cheap blades. The best blades Ive used so far are the rain-x weatherbeaters.

I was at costco last week picking up a set, looks like they're clearing them out because they were down to $10 and a lot of sizes were sold out.

Those wiper blades that the OP wants to buy gotta be the worst piece of shit ever to come out. I wish i could return them in a way and get my money back, holy fuck did i get ripped off.

As for the spoiler thing on the wiper blades i think that is just meant to keep the wiper blade down in contact with the windshield. Not sure where u could get em, dont think ive ever seen em anywhere in stores.

:werd:

The reflex ones are so skinny and flimsy, the Michelin ones at costco are half the price and way better and sturdier. Sometimes even 9.99 when theres a coupon.

I've had reflex ones from canadian tire back when they came out and put them on my 95 talon. They worked so fuckin good but where like $30 a piece.
Then I got the michelin ones from costco and I have them on my murano and my 92 talon, they do not work as well, especially at high speeds. Maybe it was the areo dynamics of the 2g talon compared to the 1g and the murano but I never had spots that didn't get wiped on the windshield at 110 km/h. Thats my observation but you can't really beat $10 a wiper.

Some people say the reflex blades work best only if used with the "reflex" washer fluid. I like Bosch Icon's but the Michelin's from Costco are probably the best value.

I had the Michelins for almost 2 years, before I traded in my WRX. They were still working really good at the time.

i use the reflex ones and they work good for me... much better than the ones that came on the car. i dont use any crazy washer fluid, just the coop brand stuff.

Costco's Michelins here as well!

Really solidly build and cleans great. On a wet and muddy day like this morning... Those blades along with my Rain-X treated windshield, it just takes one up/down motion and I was crystal clear again!

I've used Bosch Icons, the original "viewmax" frameless wipers from wal-mart($10), and Rain-X Lattitudes and I thought the Rain-X were about the same as the Icons if not better.

I had one of those Costco Michelin wipers fall apart after about 8 months. It happened to the 21" drivers side; the passenger 19" one is still good.

I'm sticking with Bosch Micro Edge from now on.

I had the Costco Michelin wipers... I hated them.
I just bought the reflex wipers today because I couldn't stand those crappy Michelin's any longer.. we'll see how well the reflex wipers hold up.

the reflex blades from CT are complete crap...

i bought 2 sets for my old car, thinking maybe i just got a bad batch but nope

they're fucking killer brand new out of the box, but after about 10 uses they start to go down hill... and if you get any specs of dirt, expect streaks until you throw them away... they also fell apart on me

at high speeds they work like ass especially when travelling on the highway, if your windshield gets icy, well prepare to pull over and break them free from the window and scrape

Picked up a set of Valeos from TireRack on a 2 for 1 special. Seem to work really well. Came to $36 including shipping.

We carry the Bosch Icon wipers here!

Many customers we have sold them to have been very happy with them including our guys as well.

Let me know what sizes you need and I can get you pricing!

what you described about the reflex blades is exactly how my michelin blades were like.. lol
oh well... if these reflex ones crap out on me too, i'll try the bosch ones next.. they seem to be getting decent reviews on here

If you have an Acura/Honda, I find the OEM wipers are really good, and cheap too. It's only $12 for a set of wiper inserts at the dealership.

So...costco doesn't sell the michelins anymore? My old wipers have gone to shit and when I wipe, it actually makes my vision worse.

I've had the reflexes from CT on my car for almost a year now and they still work great. Only problem I find is they can get clogged with ice, so sometimes you have to pull over and remove the ice with your hand. I guess that could happen to any wiper blade however. I'll most likely buy another pair.

The new GTI's use the reflex style blades as oem so they cant be all that bad..I don't know, was going to look into them as well but after reading this thread perhaps not.

grab the costco ones and bend them with your hands to curve to the shape of your windshield. i found they were useless before that but worked like a charm after.
