hey guys,

the car is a 99 cl with the f23a

can you tell me what to install for tuning the fuel?

i know its an obd2. so far i think i need a obd2 to obd1 harness with a p28 ecu?

its a home made turbo kit with a
hifi 60-1 ct26 turbo,
custom log style mani.
440cc rc injectors
ebay intercooler
sard bov
currently running the afc hack
MBC

my problem is i cant get past 6.5 PSI, wanna to be at ~10 ish
do you think its the tuning,
log manifold,
stock cat back with an after muffler,
or stock fuel pump, was told on the acura cl forum that its good for up to 400 whp?
i dont think there are any boost leaks.

thanks

bigger exhaust would be a very good place to start.

Please tell me you are tuning with a wideband o2 sensor?

ditch the hack, run some timing control.

haha nope.. just the blue wire mod. the stock ecu seems to do the adjustment for fuel ~.88 at WOT which is about 12.5-1 AFR

only crappy thing is at idle its that too.. haha

i want to convert to the chipped ecu, still researching on that, maybe you can tell me what i need to buy

so far i think i need a obd2-obd1 harness and a p28 ecu?

right now my car is obd2 im assuming the knock sensor automatically pulls timing if needed.

but i would deffinetely like to convert to chipped ecu. because everbody says the afc hack is no comparison to a chipped ecu. Do they mean you can squeeze more power outta the same psi or has better drivability? cause right now the car drives just like a stock car with boost.

also should mention my car is a 5sp, maybe thats why the speedtech guy said told me they didnt make it for my car.

will changing the ecu effect my digital climate control

You are certainly running an interesting setup, I think just a conversion harness and p28 or p72 or vtec converted p06 should work. I don't see that any of the fancy shit would be controlled through your ecu. But yeah a chipped ecu will offer more potential for power and driveability.

A properly tuned set-up using a chipped ecu will make more power and be more reliable than running the hack.
To run a chipped ecu you will need a OBD2b -> OBD1 conversion harness. You will also need a socketed P28 ecu or a socketed P06 that has been converted to vtec.
But most importantly, you will need someone to tune it.

nice job man, you should post pics of your install, not many turbo CL's around. I'd like to see your manifolds

Man that coupler is close to the exhaust. Also the welding on it appears to be disgusting.

that's a sweet ride. Iv'e never even seen a turbo CL before..props man!

But that exhaust flange looks fucked up haha that welding is crazy! Like Supa Dexta said that coupler is damn close..maybe wrap some heat wrap around that...I would.
